I was greeted with a warm welcome at Casa Do Fontao Guest House with a good wine and cheese platter. The charming blend of modern and antique decor added a unique touch to the house. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a luxurious bathroom and beautiful views of the countryside. The breakfast was a personal and charming experience, with homemade quince jelly and a variety of delicious foods. I had a really good stay and would highly recommend Casa Do Fontao Guest House.

Remote location in a newish suburban area. Surroundings are not particularly charming.

The accommodations were outstanding, facilities truly 5-star, and the host, Louisa, was exceptional. She welcomed us with a wine and cheese snack, prepared a delicious breakfast, and even helped with clearing frost from our car windshield. The house and gardens were beautiful, and the view was fabulous. Truly a must-visit in northern Portugal.

Wow! What an incredible stay! The first thing that blew me away was the warm welcome I received from the owner. She greeted me with a glass of delicious local wine and some amazing cheese. It made me feel instantly at home. The second aspect that I absolutely loved was the breathtaking view from my room. Waking up every morning to the stunning countryside was such a treat. And speaking of treats, the breakfast spread was out of this world! Fresh fruits, delectable bread and cake, and a great selection of meats and cheese - it was a breakfast paradise!

While I had an amazing stay, there were a couple of things that could have been better. First, the location was a bit tricky to find without GPS.
